Step out of glockna … and into adventure!

Clear blue water, mountain views, and beach vibes at 750 metres above sea level. Lake Zell is a must-visit in summer – for swimming, paddleboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, or simply relaxing on the shore. Three beaches, lakeside promenades, and a magnificent view of Mt Schmittenhöhe and Mt Kitzsteinhorn make it one of the most beautiful Alpine lakes in Austria. In winter, it sometimes even transforms into a huge natural ice rink.

Waves, jumps, loops – and speeds of up to 40km/h downhill. The Maisi Flitzer on Mt Maiskogel in Kaprun offers the most high-speed thrills in the region. Along a 1,300-metre track, young and old alike whizz through bends and over bridges in two-seaters, at times up to 11 metres above the ground. You can adjust the speed yourself.

Distance: approx. 13.9km

Right on the Grossglockner Road, in the heart of the national park. Over 200 animals from around 40 species – wolves, bears, lynx, bison, and a petting zoo with alpacas and dwarf goats. There’s also a 20,000m² adventure playground with trampolines, water features, and a 360° swing – sure to set children’s hearts racing. The paths are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Entry to the adventure park is free up to the age of 14.

The sound of rushing water, mist, pure nature. The water experience trail along the Hirzbach river leads to one of the region’s most beautiful waterfalls – ideal for a leisurely walk with real wow factor. The path is easy to walk and suitable for the whole family. If you keep your eyes and ears open, you’ll experience the natural beauty of Hohe Tauern National Park up close – with minimal effort but maximum reward.

A former spa destination that has never lost its charm. The mystical high valley with the Fürstenquelle spring was already known as a spa resort in the 15th century and attracted visitors from all over the Pinzgau region. Today, Bad Fusch invites you to pause, hike, and truly switch off – far away from the hectic pace of daily life. Anyone who comes up here immediately understands why people have been visiting for centuries. Simply “guad”.

3,203 metres high. Eternal ice. A panorama that leaves you speechless. Mt Kitzsteinhorn offers a truly special experience all year round – whether you’re skiing on the glacier, hiking in Gipfelwelt 3000, or marvelling at the views of the Hohe Tauern range. The “K-onnection” cable car takes you straight up from the village of Kaprun.

From the saw to the finished product – the interactive show sawmill in Fusch shows how wood is transformed into something special. Fun and informative, it guides you through the journey of the wood from seed to finished piece. Eco-friendly wooden toys can be bought on site. Open from spring to autumn and well worth a visit even in bad weather – especially for families with children.
